Your first period journal: start with the dates you know

Begin with one recorded period

In Cycavera, open Calendar and enter a period start date. If that period has finished, enter its end date too. If it is still ongoing, leave the end date blank and add it when it finishes. The calendar highlights the dates you have recorded; it does not present a predicted period as a completed entry.

If you cannot remember an older date, you can leave that period out. An incomplete record is more useful when its gaps are understood than when guesses look like confirmed history.

Check that your entry was saved

Wait for the message confirming that the period was saved to your account. It should appear under Saved periods. Those dates are stored with your account, so you can find them again when you sign in on another device.

If saving fails, keep the dates in the form and retry once your connection is working. Cycavera keeps your entered dates in place after a failed save. Avoid closing the page before a successful save message appears.

Correct a record when you need to

Use Edit beside a saved period to adjust its dates. You can also delete a mistaken record. Cycavera rejects overlapping period records: if a new entry overlaps an existing one, check whether the existing record needs correcting or its ongoing period needs an end date.

Read the summary in context

Your summary uses the dates you save. Period duration counts the recorded start and end days. The interval between periods is measured from one recorded start to the next. Ongoing periods are excluded from completed-duration averages.

Missing entries can make an interval look longer. A summary describes the records available; it cannot know whether an unrecorded period occurred in between.

Estimates are different from records

After at least three recorded starts, Cycavera can display a simple next-period estimate based on the intervals in your record. That estimate can be wrong. It does not identify ovulation, confirm pregnancy or provide contraception or a diagnosis.

Keep a copy for yourself

Open Insights to download a period summary for a selected date range. The report includes periods whose start dates fall in that range. For a broader export, use Download my data in Privacy settings.

You decide whether to share an exported record. Store it somewhere you trust: a downloaded file is a separate copy of your information.
